Gamedev update!

For this issue I'd like to give a brief introduction to the game we've been working on. Technically my girlfriend and I started this project over two years ago, but it never really went anywhere.
Sometime last year we decided to pick it back up, but progress has been slow due to moving and other hectic life things.
	
The ideas that we have for this game are extenive and I have a very unique gameplay loop thought out, but in the interest of the leangth of this blog post
I will only be explaining the game in its most basic form. Essentially the game in question will be a 2D hand drawn side scrolling arcade shooter. The game will feature
Rouguelike elements and will focus on optimizing builds with each run.

So far I have a basic movement system built out and some basic shooting mechanics. The players character aims at the mouse allowing for intuitive controll of the character.

I also have basic enemy movement code, but it is still a work in progress. The enemies are the next major aspect of the project that I will tackle,
so look forward to reading about that in upcoming issues!
